Which product works best to highlight hair?

I want to dye my hair with highlights. My original hair color is dark brown, so I'm looking for a product which I can use at home and which will give me the results I want (I do not want to end up with orange highlights! haha). What is the best product out there for hair that is dark brown and thick?Which product works best to highlight hair?
look on the back of the box and it will show a chart: if your hair is light brown it will look this light, if your hair is medium brown, it will look like this, if dark brown ect ect.





The key to it NOT ending up orange is leaving it on long enough. Periodically check a piece and see how your brown is lifting. If it is still brassy (orange) put a little more bleach on it.

if you dying your hair for the first time.. i would save up and go hair dressers.. trust me.. all my friend have tryed dying there hair its cheap but .. depends how dark you hair is natural .. and leave the dye in even tho it look abit gingery as it will get blonde if u leave it in for longer
