How much time before I can I highlight my hair?

I have black hair and my sister lightened it to an ashy brown, I still want to go a bit lighter (I have dark hair but fair skin). I want to know when I should go to a salon to lighten it some more...How much time before I can I highlight my hair?
you can go to a salon...i have myself...if you got a reputable place if your hair is too damaged or its too soon...they won't put bleach on you....cause they don't want your hair to fall out....usually the rule of thumb is every six weeks but for people like me i can go before that because my hair grows pretty fast....its true if they are lightened again....with bleach it will remove more of the red and bring you to a lighter shadeHow much time before I can I highlight my hair?
u should wait at least 6 months !
I dont think it really maters, but ask your stylist just to make sure. It might also matter what product your sisiter used and what product your stylist uses. Show your stylist the product your sister used when you go to get it done again. Good Luck!
