It's sold at professional beauty and hair places like Sally's. It is specially made for people with dark hair. My hair is very dark brown, almost black and the red I highlighted in my hair lasted so long (helped out by shampoo and conditioner for colored hair). I live by this dye. It's awesome!!!
the best way to have that color in your hair since it's so dark is to lighten it first, but no matter what you do red will fade, in any hair the red fades after a while.

I previously had no color on my naturally ash blonde hair, only highlights from like a year ago. I just colored it with clairol - light golden blonde, it's level 8NG. My hair now looks like it's got a slight orangey color to it. It didn't turn out very golden at all. It's not horrible, but instead of coloring over it, I want to highlight it. Then get the highlights and put in another treatment. i know what its like for hair to turn out much darker then expected. In a salon yes but the stuff we use at home is cheaper and not that great for the hair. wait another day or 2 it will lighten up then put the high lights in. Been dying my hair for years and I never keep it on for as long as the box says like if it says 20min I keep it on 15 and most of the time it comes out ok.

Unless you re bleach your hair again- there's nothing out there that will lighten your hair more. If you want it less brassy you can try using Shimmer Lights Shampoo ( or any other violet based shampoo. ) or have your stylist use a toner that will counteract the brassiness.

lemon juice, but thats strips the outer layer of the hair shaft and makes it stringy and absolutely gross

I think you would need to use hair dye to accomplish that, unless you used felt tip pens or paint and somehow I don't think that will work either!

You can die it with kool aid don't ask me how search for it. also you can use Hydrogen Peroxide and then blow dry. also you can use lemon juice in your hair and also blow dry. when i was younger in high school i use to put peroxide on my hair and i recall it working within a week or so.

lemon juice, but thats strips the outer layer of the hair shaft and makes it stringy and absolutely gross
something like lemon juice in the sun, but I really wouldn't try it!
I think you would need to use hair dye to accomplish that, unless you used felt tip pens or paint and somehow I don't think that will work either!

The dog would either like it and lick it a lot and possibly get sick, or he would bite at it to try and remove it, eventually damaging himself. (dogs like wild animals will chew off their own leg to get out of a trap, so he will hurt himself if he thinks he needs to)
A dog may eventually get used to earrings the way they do collars, but I would fear the earring swingnig around and poking a floppy eared dog in the eye, or snagging and ripping out causing a very serious wound to the ear.
Remember, dog's ears are very specially shaped for the different things we ask our breeds to do, messing with the ears will cause a lot of problems for certain breeds

I wouldn't recomend doing that. If you do, it won't be very visible. I would just go to Cost Cutters (lol) o rFantastic Sam's, or another low cost salon, and get it done there. It's not very expensive and it looks just as good as it does when you go to some extremly expensive salon. That's what I did and my highlights (and lowlights) look great.

Just applying lemon juice to your hair won't do much. The trick with lemon juice is that it has a reaction in the sun that lightens hair. Apply it to the areas you want highlighted, and then go get some sun. If you're fair, I'd suggest wearing sunscreen on your skin though. You don't want to fry that.

Your hair should have a nice lightened effect. This procedure should be done once a week in order to keep your hair the color you desire!

at least a few days... dying your hair in the first place damages your hair...ive actually dyed my hair twice in 1 day because the my hair went bright orange copper and school was the next day so i had to dye some black into it.. it didnt damage my hair a lot but mostly i get split ends here and there cause i keep my hair long...

Go to a supply store like Sally's and get a high lever blonde that you want... ash so 9A, 10A or 11A and mix it with a developer. I can't see your hair so you're going to have to ask a stylist there what volume to get. Don't try to use a box color... that dye is isualy bleach and you will have alot of breakage and dryhair that can't always be repaired, it may just have to be cut.

I have natural blond hair and everyone tells me I shouldn't mess with it and just be happy to be a natural blond. It's a dark blond though and I want that light, sun-kissed blond look like the girls on The Hills and Laguna Beach! My hair is long and thick and very wavy. It tends to be dry which is caused either by our well water or my hair being so thick and wavy. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg, is there a drugstore brand that won't totally damage my hair? I've been highlighting (professionally) my naturally light brown-dark blonde hair for years now and I finally stopped because my hair was breaking off so badly all over (even at the top,so my hair was shorter in heavily highlighted places). I dyed it a light brown (professionally)twice and now it is fading into red (which I HATE) and I don't know whether it will be too damaging to get highlights again.
