Can you really highlight your hair with a sharpie?

I've heard that if you color your hair with a sharpie and then straightened it, the color will stay for a month or two. Has anybody tried and did it worked?Can you really highlight your hair with a sharpie?
do NOT color your hair with a sharpie....you will NEVER get it out of your hair..i have seen miserable outcomes of ';at home'; colors like..koolaid, henna sharpie, sun in..none of them are good and all it does is ruin your hair!! if you want funky colors do it the right way and use an actual dyeCan you really highlight your hair with a sharpie?
well i didn't straighten my hair, but it stays for about 2-3 days if you don't wash your hair. and i only did the tips, it was barley noticeable unless you looked up close.
I've never heard of this but if it does work it can't possibly be good for you hair. I would be real dye and do it that way.
you can do it with any marker but it will wash out
