What color should I highlight my hair?

I have medium/dark brown hair, and its down to the middle of my back. And I'd like to lighten it a bit for spring. Any suggestions as to color?What color should I highlight my hair?

Don't dye it, just highlight it. There are many colors that you can possibly highlight it. You can do a red highlight, a blonde one, maybe even black highlights that will make your normal hair look brighter. Try putting it up too. Maybe throw it into a high ponytail or make a bun with your hair pulled back and away from your face and add a side bang. There are sooooooooo many possiblities with your color hair, so try finding a hair magazine and maybe while you get your hair highlighted, you can get it cut to your shoulders. If you hair is wavy and you don't like it, you can get something called a Japanese Yukon treatment that will keep your hair straight for months, maybe even a year and you can even curl it still. A very light blond, caramel light brown, or even possibly a red. (: I think the red would look best for you.
NO blonde it would look horrible with yuor hair maybe a caramel color light tanish highlights would look amazing :)
Make it butterscotch blonde.
