yes its fine that's what I do except I use a cap. I would suggest using the foiling method because if you don't hide hair that you are not highlighting you risk the color bleeding on what you don't want highlighting.

I dont see why not, but you will have LOADS of dye left probs and it would be a waste and i would say its more likely to go wrong. x
when you're doing it at home, its best to play on the safe side.
