How often can I highlight my hair?

My hair is really dark and I want it blonde. I know I have to just keep getting highlights to get there but how often can I get the highlights done? Also I was told that because my hair is so dark that when I highlight it it's going to come out a brassy orangey color, if I highlight my hair again over the brassy parts will it become a more blonde color? How often can I highlight my hair?
It should take two or three atleast to get blonde color, That your looking for. Every 6 weeks is when you should do a touch up. When you do blonde highlights, They use Bleach. So once they are done, There is no need to do the WHOLE highlight. Just a root touch up(The more bleach you use on already colored/bleached hair, The more damaged and over processed it will be.).

...Yeah. You can bleach over the blonde part. It'll lift it. But in the end, You will probably have to use a toner on it, because trust me. You don't want to do tons of bleaching on one strand. How often can I highlight my hair?
Highlights are really meant to add more dimension to your natural hair color. You should have about an inch of regrowth before getting the highlights touched up again, else it is difficult to avoid overlapping of the bleach, which can lead to damage and breakage.

Your stylist can tone the highlights to make it less brassy if needed. But I do not recommend trying to lighten the brassy parts a second time.

A great shampoo and conditioner is Loreal Professionnel White Violet

Color Depositing Shampoo and Loreal Professionnel White Violet

Color Depositing Conditioner. These will help control orangey/brassy tones without drying the hair.
