How do I naturally highlight my hair?

I have black hair but not that black maybe dark dark brown. My parents wont let me highlight it which i think is reasonable because it is a health hazard if used too much. I heard about the lemon juice and hannah but my mom thinsk that hannah only works on white hair....im not so sure. I live in canada maybe there is something that i can buy that will help? Thanks. How do I naturally highlight my hair?
Anyone can use lemon juice, u just need to be in the sun for a while, so if you put it on do it on a sunny day and then go out for a bit so your outsideHow do I naturally highlight my hair?
At claires you can buy this thing thats like a straightener but will highlight it!!! sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool! totes!
Sun-In you can get it in the dye department of the store. Its a spray with lemon and other things. You spray on your hair than spend time in the sun. I use it.

The lightening that lemon does is barely noticeable, if at all. Hennah doesn't bleach at all, it makes hair red, so that would make no sense.

I'm a cosmetologist, so I understand why you'd think it's a health hazard but it's really not, especially if it's only highlights. It's not like your gonna swallow it. There will be barely any skin contact.

So, if you really want highlights, good ones, get a bleaching kit or be safe and go to a professional.
you cant naturally highlight your hair but you can get highlights and they start fading away every 3 months so every 3 months you should get your hair high lighted the only way you could have natural high lights is if you had them when you were younger/born.
