Can you use ordinary kitchen tin foil to highlight hair?

want to do it shortly so any fast accurate answers would be most appreciative ! thanks in advance. Can you use ordinary kitchen tin foil to highlight hair?
yes I have but it does not handle quite the same as the foil that you get from suppliers,it also takes a while cutting to desired sizes...Can you use ordinary kitchen tin foil to highlight hair?
As a Salon owner and a stylist I have to say don't do this

the kitchen foil is very different to colouring foil, and has different chemicals in it, go to a Sally's hair store and buy some colouring foil its very cheap, if you try to use kitchen foil and I have had a client in that did this, well I won't frighten you to much what her hair was like, be she did have a lot cut off

and it was still very noticeable
Yes you can but it splits alot more easily and is a lot more fiddley. It works the same though so if you can do it then it's fine.
If you mean to put on with the dye, then yes. I did it but you'll need help from a friend cause it's really difficult to do yourself.

only if you want to do the old fashion way but if you want to use real tin foil you wouldn't get what you want your hair to be.
Yes, i alway use that!
