When I highlight my hair with lemon juice, do I HAVE to go out in the sun or can I use a blow dryer?

(Please don't tell me not to use lemon juice and stuff. I've read a lot about it and I KNOW it can damage my hair but hey, it's all different on different hair types)When I highlight my hair with lemon juice, do I HAVE to go out in the sun or can I use a blow dryer?
yea you have to go out in the sun because the enzymes in the lemon is activated by natural sunlight and theres this chemical reaction. you should repeat this several times for the highlights to be sealed in. most of the info i read said you should wait in the sun for an hour.

if you use lemon juice and you have blonde or light hair i heard/read it works really good. i was going to try it but i have black hair. it's said if you have dark hair it supposedly turns your hair orange so they recommend you to take a herb called henna. if you change your mind about lemon then try chamomile tea just steep in in water and pour it on your hair for lighter hair. after wash it with some honey.

and about lemon damaging your hair i agree with you its different for everyone and plus lemon is a natural ingredient and if you highlight your hair with a dye kit or go to a salon the stuff they use there is much worse with all the chemicals.

hope this helpsWhen I highlight my hair with lemon juice, do I HAVE to go out in the sun or can I use a blow dryer?
LIGHT, not heat, activates it...so no...no blow dryer
unless you have an ultra-violet blow dryer best go out in the sun.
the sun works best, even though i dont think it matters...i personally use a hair dryer cuz i use lemon juice in the winter--when my hair is the darkest, and since there's no sun in the winter, i just use a hair dryer. it drys out my hair, though, so use a good conditioner.
the suns rays give you vitamin D through your skin and hair. i think when this hits the acidity in the juice, it has a mild chemical reaction or something so yeh.... you cant use a hairdryer x
rays from the sun is what activates it not the heat
I would say you have to go out in the sun.

When you put lemon juice in your hair and then blow dry it, its just going to get all sticky and nasty in your hair.

The sunlight is what lightens it up. The rays that you get from being out in the sun is the activation.

On the plus side, you can get a nice tan at the same time.
