What is a reasonable price to highlight my hair?

I have relatively long hair that reaches the lower part of my back. It is very thick and quite dark and I wish to put red-red highlights in my hair. Unfortunately i hear it costs a pretty penny.....What is a reasonable price to highlight my hair?
yes i am a beautician and for hair your length and thickness will run you $150 or more. i would recomend going to an actual salon versus a little ma and pop shop though. What is a reasonable price to highlight my hair?
if you go to a hairdresser then it will be pretty expencive but if u do it yourself (and u know how to) then it will be way cheaper! Highlighting kits at supermarkets and retail stored are usually $10-20. There should be instructions on the back so it wont be that hard for you. But if your not confident on doing it urself then get a hairdresser to do it, even if it might cost more.
Well, um, probably about $65 to $80! Cassie
go to walmart and look in the hair supplies ile!!
I say 100 dls the longer the hair the more it will cost
highlighters at target are like $1 i think
to have the red lights be as bright and brilliant as what i would say is RED RED you will need to have it highlighted to a very light blonde then toned and you will still need to have it toned with a semi permanent coloring gloss(shades eq by redken or pm shines by Paul Mitchell) i would say about 125 or less the first then every 3 to 4 weeks(don't wait longer) about 30 to get the red freshened. the initial highlighting will be the only part of this that damages your hair. then every few months have the ROOTS only of the highlights retouched. also you have want to consider doing the rest of you hair with a semi-permanent color just a shade darker than your natural to make it all appear healthy and one shade and increasing the contrast with the red. a few weeks ago a client requested the RED RED just underneath and didn't want to freshen up her natural color with brown (making her hair the same color root to tip) and it wasn't near what it could have been. the red was nice but it really made the unhealthiness of the other show.
$50-$80 for just one color... however it may differ on how thick you want the highlights. Also be careful with red you are pay the same as you would for some other color but red will fade!
if your hair is long than you are going to be looking at about $125.00 to get it done.
I have long thick hair. At the hairsalon I'm charged 130. I've been getting my hair done by this lady who does it at home for a very cheap price: 65.00
I would first find a person who has hair that you like and ask them where they get it done. always go to a salon......if you do box color and you jack your hair up it will cost alot more for color correction. we usually start at 200+ for color correction!
80-200 depends on how much you wanna spend and or how good of a job you would like done.
Yes, it is expensive to have it done. But I went to Sally's Beaty Supplies and they told me what to buy and how to do it. It turned out great and I have had many compliments.
Yes. It does. The place where I go which is pretty reasonable charges $150 for my hair and I have long curly thick hair. Also, make sure that you ask them for the best red that will work with your hair. Another hint is to wash your hair in cool water, I know that it sounds weird but it is kind of like washing your dark clothes (you normally wash them in cold water to stop fading). Trust me, it works! I got my hair highlighted in April with blonde and red and I can still see the red in my hair!

Good Luck!!
