I am not the type to lay out in the sun forever with lemon in my hair (too busy) and I want to know if just putting lemon or vinegar will do the trick...I have heard it works, but am not too sure about it.. any advice?Does lemon and vinegar really highlight hair?
Yes.... try....Does lemon and vinegar really highlight hair?
haha... When we were younger, my sister tried that on me. I had black hair at the time and she wanted to see if it would get lighter. So I sat in a lawn chair most of the afternoon with lemon juice on my hair. Well, it didn't lighten my hair but I got a great tan.
from my experience ... NO
ive tried both and sat out all day
reapplying frequently
none of them work
i have never heard of that b4 but i think i will end up trying. yah, im trying to lighten my hair too, but nothing really seems to work. i laied out in the sun 2 day w/ hydrogen peroxide in my hair, and i think it works ok but u have 2 stay in the sun for a L O N G time
When my cousin did that (she had dark hair) it turned a funky uneven shade of orange and brown. It didn't get all of her hair and it had to be corrected profesionaly
Absolutely NOT.....The use of lemon and vinegar, both heavily diluted, are to be used to shut the culticle after a chemical service because the PH is lower,
You can achieve the same results with Joico's Chemical enhancer....Acid bases remove left over smell like in perms and close the cuticle which is essential for healthy hair.....
Same idea but tomatoe juice bathes stain the hair but the acid PH removes skunk smell........
FYI.....Hydrogen peroxide in your first aid kit has no value in your hair.....Clorox laundry bleach doesn't either....although you may get some orange staining and a sore scalp......
If I had to choose one home remedy, I would go with the lemon juice mixed 1/4 to one with water.....
I hope this helps....
