Will bleaching my hair to highlight it cause damage?

I have dark brown hair and I'd like to get caramel colored highlights before the school year starts. But I was wondering if I would have to use bleach to do it and if I did would that damage my hair badly.Will bleaching my hair to highlight it cause damage?
Yes you might have to use bleach to get a carmel colour, odawise you cud end up wi orange highlights cz ur hair is a dark colour, trust me it happened to me b4..lol


If your hair is in gud condition and you look afta it properly not use too much heat styling it shudn damage ur hair.


Also get it done in the hairdressers theyl giv you more info on whether it wil damage ur hair or not.

no if you do it right make sure you get good derections on how to do then after you but your die in it should look good
Bleach is not the best thing to do because it can cause damage like split ends and itchy dry scalp. I would recommend going to a cheap hair salon and just getting some highlights in the color you want. At least then you want have any damage and you won't have to worry! best of luck on whatever you decide!
yes it will damage it- chemicals are not good for the hair. if you want to use a color then at least use a damage repair oil like Mira hair oil


Try to fix the damaged hair by cutting it every 90 days


i also recommend you use a good hair oil that will help repair the damage in the first place

ya bleach is damaging go to beauty shop
i bleached parts of my hair so i could get it purple it looks fine its not badly damaged
if you go to a salon they will be able to do it for you...and yes you have to use bleach to lighten your hair, but you dont bleach your whole head. the bleach will just be used on the spots being hilighted. Anything you do to your hair chemicaly will damage it in some way. you just eed to use the right products! always use a product in your hair!
i wouldnt try it yourself.
