How to highlight brown hair at home?

I have peroxide and a spray bottle, and i also have lemons that can be squeezed for juice if necessary. I'm looking for a sun-kissed or generally just a little bit lighter hair. I understand the effects of peroxide and lemon juice, and i have a deep hyrdating conditioner. Any suggestions that wont turn my hair into a weird color?

Thanks! Btw, please answer the question, don't give me your opinion and tell me to go to a salon, etc.How to highlight brown hair at home?
To be honest, I would not do it. Unless your hair is already lighter, like blonde, it will probably end up looking orangey or brassy, not a pretty color. Brown hair goes through different color levels (starting with around a medium to dark orange and up to very pale yellow) as it lightens and lemon juice/peroxide are not strong enough to break through that orange stage. I would recommend just going out in the sun. It may not be as quick as the other stuff or as quick as just dying, however it will look much better and much more natural.
