What is the best thing to do when you start seeing a lil gray in hair? Highlight? Dye?

You can add THIN highlights if you want... i say thin because it will look better than thick ones and then a stray gray hair here and there. If you dont want to dye it use a shampoo that tones the gray hair... it takes away the yellow tone that many people have and makes the gray look cleaner and not so coarse. Its shampoo for the gray hair (and usually light blonde too) not a product to cover the gray. Go to a salon and ask them if they carry any or if they can special order for you. it depends, i guess. if ur comfortable with it, jz let it be. if not, then have ur hair dyed :)
